ROLES OF CONSORTIUM TEAM MEMBERS:
OVERALL MARKETING AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT BATHO
TRAVEL & TOURISM (PTY) LTD was officially launched
in 2000 to be a significant and meaningful black owned
and controlled player in tourism in South Africa, Southern
Africa and eventually the African continent. We are
currently focused on the in bound tourism component
of the industry (e.g., attracting both holiday makers
and foreign investors to South Africa). We are dedicated
to expanding tourism opportunities to existing and emerging
tourism businesses in our marginalized communities.
In order to accomplished this important endeavour, we
have established a partnership with existing black owned
and controlled companies such as, Zenzele Tourism (PTY)
LTD. Zenzele not only shares a similar vision but is
implementing that vision in our communities. We have
also established partnerships with companies in the
United States (e.g., Washington, DC and Atlanta, Georgia)
to attract tourist through our network of community
driven tourism businesses, which currently stretches
from Cape Town to Johannesburg. In addition, we have
partners in Europe and Africa to attract more holidaymakers
and foreign investors to our beautiful country. On the
inbound side, we plan to expand our network of tourism
service providers in KwaZulu Natal this year with further
growth in Mozambique and Swaziland next year.
INBOUND TOURISM PACKAGES
BATHO TRAVEL & TOURISM (PTY) LTD, is headquartered
in Cape Town, South Africa with an additional office
in Johannesburg, South Africa. Cape Town is the number
one tourist destination in all of Southern Africa (South
Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and
Angola). At the heart of the development issues facing
marginalized communities, there is the need for real
job creation and income generation. To address that
need, Batho Travel & Tourism developed a travel
and tour package for the national and international
tourist to have a real South African experience by utilising
existing and emerging professional black owned and controlled
tourism enterprises in our marginalized communities.

now covers three provinces: Western Cape, Eastern Cape
and the Northern Cape. These local enterprises offer
a range of services to our tourists, including:
